i just talked to TRS and they recommended a D2S bulb that works off 35w but puts out as much light as a 55w. Though it still had a little of the yellow (halogen) look around the outside edges i didnt want to down grade or revert back to that look.

Yes they did, burned out within days of installing them so I never bothered to replace them.

Agree, my foreground is probably about 30ft from the front bumper.

No, not exactly I have a foreground limiter so most of the increased light output is sent to the sides, so its a very even lighting side to side, and gets brighter as you go near the cutoff

Sounds promising… the alignment of all of those will be difficult but if you spend the time it will turn out great.

Not yet, I am doing some indoor tests with the 75W system to ensure that the temperatures stay consistent, I dont want to risk blowing up my bowls.

I will update the video as soon as I get the system installed.

My system is highly modified, and on High beam the car runs the OEM halogen projectors combined with the Bixenon of the FXR. The 55W system makes a difference as well.

True, my system is nowhere near stock, it has upgraded projector which takes some light from the high beam to send it forward. The DL50 set up with 55W ballasts and upgraded wire harness helped a lot too. In stock form it was not nearly as impressive.

Have you boosted to 75w ?!?!?!? is it just the ballast and the bulb thats required to go 50w or even 75w ???

Thats true but bulb spacing brought it closer to the bumper just below the hood line as seen from the driver seat… the as purchased configuration you could see the foreground near the hood line…

Well it could be that the camera shot it brighter then it is but it truly is bright, its running 55W DL50s and projector has a few mods too. not a straight up 35W installation.

I’m trying to get a FX-R for my marquise but I’m kinda hesitant cuz the marquise isn’t an easy car when it comes to electricity…

Please I need your Feedback! :)
